Aleksandar Nikolić, born in  1973, is the first and only musician to play bandoneon in Serbia. After finishing his education in  Bratislava, he founded Beltango quintet in Belgrade in 1998, with which he realized a  large world concert career with performances in Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Netherlands,  Greece, Poland, Hungary, Malta, Slovenia, Portugal, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia,  promoting the name of Belgrade and Serbia at over 700 concerts. He is a winner of "Premio Astor Piazzola" for the contribution to the development of tango music in the world. At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of Argentina, he received the honor, as the only European bandoneon musician, to  perform at the World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires.

He performed like soloist with Vietnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Macedonia Philharmonic orchestra, chamber orchestra Zagreb Soloists, as well as with our national orchestras:  Belgrade Philharmonic orchestra, Symphony orchestra of RTS, Symphony orchestra Stanislav Binicki, St George strings, Vojvodina Symphony orchestra, Nis Symphony Orchestra, Royal Strings of St. George....

He is actively dedicated to composing. Numerous international artists performed the music that is unified in creative opus Balkango,  as a unique mixture of our music heritage and tango music.
