FLAMENCO AND JAZZ-SWING NIGHT IN SAVA CENTER

 

What would you do if you could watch Paco de Lucia when he was 24? Judging by the staggering rise of young Alberto Lopez, this year’s Guitar Art Festival could be the right opportunity for great flamenco experience. The owner of few prestigious flamenco awards and independent releases, Alberto Lopez was forming his skills with patrons like Michelangelo Cortez, Tomatito, El Pell, and many others. Flamenco Biennial festival in Sevilla, The White Night of Flamenco or famous Flamenco festival in Moroccan Fes are just some of the many world stages marked with the skills of this extraordinary guitar player and author from Granada. He arrives in Belgrade with his furious quintet, with whom he connects tradition and innovation, or as he likes to define it, „bulerías por alegrías“!

Jazz was always part of Sara Lazarus life, as she is today one of the most interesting American genre representatives. Her tallent for saxophone playing made her one of the youngest participant at Montreaux Jazz festival. She traded that tallent for singing career, aknowledging it with prestigious first prize at vocal competition in honour of Tilonius Mank. She chooses France for her home, where she plays with famous and tallented artists such as pianist Franck Amsallem and Jacky Terrason, guitarists Bireli Lagrene and manush maestro Hono Winterstein, whos amazing gipsy-jazz quartet will be Sara's backup at special concert which will take place at this years Guitar Art Festival. This concert will be the first one for the Winterstein Quartet in Belgrade, who are For sure one of the best jazz-guitar bands on the planet.
