Zhang Tengyue (1993) began to study classical guitar at the age of five and two years after he started taking lessons with Professor Chen Zhi.

After he had master classes with Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff, he was called Little John Williams. In 2005 he entered Music School at the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music and after completing the first year he was already declared the best student.

In 2010 he won first prizes at International Guitar Foundation of America Competition and at the International Competition of young guitarists in Vienna. In September 2011 Tengyue held a successful recital at the Guitar Festival in Vienna.
