Vojislav Ivanovic obtained highest academic degrees in Classical Guitar at Athens Conservatory with Costas Cotsiolis and also Composition at the Music Academy in Sarajevo with Vojin Komadina.

During his studies he attended classes with A. Borghese, D. Russel, M. Baruecco and many others. Both as a guitarist and a composer he was awarded with various international prizes and distinctions.

He appeared as a soloist in recitals, in various chamber ensembles and with orchestras worldwide. His compositional opus includes pieces for solo instruments, chamber ensembles and orchestras, concerts for piano and guitar, soundtracks and theater. Some of the guitar works such as Café pieces, Sonata and English concert are already included in the guitar repertoire and the didactic pieces from the series EGTA (European Guitar Teacher Association) are now the integral part of the program on European conservatories and academies.

In the area of improvised jazz and ethno music he has collaborated, recorded and played with many great Serbian and international artists. Along with Aleksandra Lazarevic, in 2008 he founded Levante Guitar Duo and since then they have been performing and playing his music specially written for the duo.

He is a lecturer and a jury member of the various international festivals, guitar and composers competitions. Currently he is a Guitar Professor at the Music Academy in Eastern Sarajevo.
