Zoran Dukić (1969) graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb in the class of Darko Petrinjak and completed his studies with Hubert Käppel in Cologne.
From 1990 to1997 Zoran Dukic won numerous awards and is the only guitarist who won both Andrés Segovia competitions, in Granada and Palma de Mallorca. He also won competitions such as Fernando Sor, Manuel Ponce, Manuel de Falla, Francisco Tárrega among others.
At the greatest Spanish guitar competition in Madrid, patronized by the Royal Family, he was awarded, in addition to the 1st prize, the special prize for the best interpretation of Spanish music. Dukic performed as a soloist and with orchestras on all continents.
He shows particular interest in contemporary music, so his programs include works by Takemitsu, Henze, Reily, Carter or Gubaidulina. Dukic also toured with entire Bach programs. He has special affinity for Spanish and South American musical idiom, from Sor to Albéniz, from Tárrega to Villa-Lobos.
He is currently teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Hague and at the Escuela Superior de Musica in Barcelona.
