This March Belgrade will become the world capital of the guitar and music world through Guitar Art Festival. During 6 festival days, from 10th to 15th March, 13 big concerts and various featuring programs will be held, and Belgrade will be visited by more than 130 most renowned guitarists from all over the world.

Lovers of classical guitar  will have the opportunity to listen again to guitar superstars and leading classical musicians after many years of  break in the atrium of the National Museum. The special offer Guitar Art Classic also includes the world premiere of the piece "Recuerdos de Belgrado" in the main hall of Kolarac Endowment.

The concert is  organised with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Serbia.

19:00 SHAMIPIA DUO (Japan)

A unique and outstanding collabo-unit by Shamisen player Keisho Ohno and pianist Mamoru Motooka. While Keisho adheres to his motto “Upholding AND destructing traditional music”, Mamoru exhibits keen presence in the fields of jazz, rock, pops and classical music. Together they have been enjoying attention both home and abroad by touring France, Italy,Luxembourg and Switzerland in 2017.

Ohno Keisho started playing Tsugaru-shamisen at the age of eight in Niigata, Japan, and has been active ever since in music scenes. Ohno’s career and endeavors does not remain only in the concerts in Japan and Europe but has become borderless by performing in 40 countries 90 cities or more. Ohno has always been faithful to his motto “Upholding AND destructing traditional music”.

Since the age of 17, Mamoru has appeared on stage as a professional pianist / keyboard player. Appeared in jazz festivals as well as being invited to perform with Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra. Studio works including number of CD production can be highlighted also.

 

20:15 FURAT QADDOURI TRIO (Iraq)

Furat Qaddouri, Stefan Sablić and Goran Milošević - trio formed for the concert at Guitar Art Festival

Coming from a prominent family of musicians, Furat Qaddouri started playing the Qanoun from the age of six in Baghdad and performed on stage from the age of eight. Today, he is one of the most famous musicians & composers world-wide. The love Furat carried from an early age for pop & Latin music was portrayed in the unique way he plays the Qanoun and composes music. Today, Furat pursues his vision of continuously developing new dialogical approaches where Qanoun is the central key-instrument and is in the process of preparing a new and innovative project called: The world is a rhythm. Stefan Sablić is an oud and qanoun player, vocal soloist and founder of the band "Shira utfila", which promotes Sephardic music. He is also a theater director, singer of Belgrade's synagoge "Sukat Šalom" and founder of the festival Ethno Fusion Fest. A wide range of Stefan's interests as well as his numerous investigations in Israel, Turkey and in the region have contributed to his systematic and thorough approach to Sephardic music tradition and Jewish tradition, in general, as well as to the tradition of other nations that used to share the same historical, geographical and cultural space of the Balkans, Mediterranean and Middle East in the previous decades.

 

21:30 MILOŠ JANJIĆ (Serbia)

Miloš Janjić graduated and receved Master degree diploma at the Faculty of music art in Belgrade in the class of prof. Srđan Tošić. He also received master degree "Cum Laude" at the Conservatory Maastricht in the Netherlands in the class of eminent guitarist and pedagogue prof. Carlo Marchione. He attended masterclasses of famous guitarists.

Miloš Janjić is active as a concert performer for more than two decades. He gave many concerts as a solist and as a member of various chamber ensembles in the most important concert venues in Serbia. He also gave recitals in Romania, Greece, Italy, Holland, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Miloš Janjić has been teaching as an associate professor at guitar and accordion department of Faculty of Art in Niš since 2008.
