XXVI Guitar Art Festival

The Guitar Art Festival is one of the most significant events in Belgrade, taking place for the 26th time this year, from May 14 to May 18, 2025. The festival program is dedicated to the guitar, featuring concerts of a variety of genres and ensembles, as well as lectures, competitions, promotions, and exhibitions. Guitar Art Festival will host the world's most prominent guitarists, both established and emerging. Seventy guests from fifteen countries will once again turn Belgrade into the guitar capital this May.

During the five days of the Festival, there will be as many as 12 concerts of classical, jazz, ethno, and rock music at various venues across Belgrade. Tickets are available for purchase online via ticket.rs. For information and reservations, please contact: office@gaf.rs or call +381 64 1407583.

The festival will open on May 14 with a performance by the best gypsy jazz ensemble, Rosenberg ensemble, at the Grand Hall of the Kolarac Endowment. 

After three sold-out concerts, Stochelo, Nonnie, and Nous'che – the founders of the legendary Rosenberg Trio – are coming to Belgrade with an expanded lineup, joined by vocalist Johnny and the new guitar star Mozes Rosenberg. This time, they will present their new project and the current album LA FAMILIA. This is an exclusive concert not to be missed.

The second day of the festival, May 15, is reserved for three classical music concerts at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall. The young Japanese guitarist Toni Harda will perform the first concert, followed by the renowned Italian classical guitarist Carlo Marchione. The evening will conclude with a concert dedicated to contemporary Serbian music for guitar. The third day of the festival will also open with a classical music concert by the Rogiński – Spajić Duo.

The world’s best tamburitza player, Branko Bako Jovanović, will perform on May 16 on the Grand Scene of the National Theatre in Belgrade. 

This will be an opportunity for the audience to hear, for the first ime, the songs from his new album Restless Strings. Bako has collaborated with many Serbian stars and has achieved notable artistic partnerships, particularly with Stochelo Rosenberg, Miroslav Tadić, the RTS Orchestra, Marko Marković’s Brass Band, Perica Vasić’s Gypsy Rhapsody Band, among many others.

The fourth day of the festival, dedicated to the classical music, will begin with a concert by Timotej Kosovinac and the Guitar Orchestra of Lyudmila Rus at the Belgrade Philharmonic Hall. The second concert of the evening will feature the Polish guitarist Marcin Dylla, while the last concert of the evening will bring, for the first time in Belgrade, the Romanian Guitar Trio.

Encouraged by the great success of last year's Concert for the Record at Republic Square, which gathered 1,000 guitarists, the festival has established a new activity: Belgrade Guitar Day (BGD). This year's BGD will take place on Sunday, May 18, at Kalemegdan, at the Pobednik Plateau, as part of the final program of the Guitar Art Festival.

The morning concert program will feature the renowned jazz quintet András Párniczky from Hungary, the Grand Orchestra of Classical Guitarists of Serbia under the baton of Italian maestro Vito Nicola Paradiso, as well as solo performances by Vlatko Stefanovski on guitar, Bako Jovanović on tamburitza, and Aleksandar Nikolić on bandoneon.
