19:00 NIKOLA JELAČIĆ

THURSDAY, 3RD OF JUNE

BELGRADE YOUTH CENTER (MAIN HALL)

Nikola Jelačić was born in Trebinje in 1998, where he finished elementary music school in the class of professor Danica Kurtović. He continued his music education in Belgrade at the high school of music “Josip Slavenski” in the classes of professors Dalibor Naumović and Slobodan Milivojević. He graduated in the class of Professor Aleksandar Hadži-Đorđević at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he is currently attending master studies. He won numerous awards, of which the following stand out: the first prize and the title of laureate at the National competition 2016, the first prize at the Naissus Festival in Niš 2015 and the second prize at the Vojvodina Festival in Novi Sad 2016.

His recognizable feature is sophisticated and lyrical spirit, extremely deep and emotional playing. This was recognized by the critics in the magazine “Politika” after his recital in which he presented the works of Joaquin Rodrigo:
“(…) Our young guitarist presented in "the cry of the guitar” (as Lorca thought) “Invocacion in Danza” playing with eyes closed, as if he wanted to feel even better the darkness of Rodrigo's blindness, in which the sounds lived more meaningfully and completely, richer than in people who see. (…)”
