BOŽO VREĆO

BiH

Božo Vrećo is an artist who breathes sevdah, experiences and lives sevdah, and creates sevdah.

He is a revolutionary artist, a lyrical tenor with distinctive expressions of duality, freedom, courage, and love. The Spanish El Periodico and the New York Times described him as an avant-garde artist with a world-known voice, and as a synonymous for Freedom in the Balkans, saying that it is "a voice that caresses souls and opens the sight of wounded hearts." His concerts are a catharsis of emotions and a personification of love that sings like an angel. His seventh studio album Sevdahology will be released this year. His first documentary Maldita, produced in Spain and directed by Kanaki Film, won the prestigious Goya Award as the best documentary film of the Festival.

Currently, he is working on another film, a book, and tours in the USA, Canada, Europe, and the region. Among them is this tour with his beloved friend and excellent musician Miroslav Tadić – they create a heavenly duo that enchants you and takes your breath away by connecting magic, pristine, mysticism, karasevdah, and dert.
