ANTONIS KOUFOUDAKIS

Antonis Koufoudakis was born in 1983. He completed his secondary education at Kalamata's Music School and he obtained bachelor’s degree at the Department of Geology at National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

In 2006, Antonis succeeded in his guitar diploma with the highest-scoring and the first prize in Philippos Nakas Conservatory in class of the prof. Y. Petridis. He obtained bachelor’s degree in music studies and a master’s degree in guitar of Ionian University in the class of prof. C. Cotsiolis. He attended various seminars by the professors L. Brouwer, A. Desiderio, Z. Dukić, R. Dyens, J. Willard etc.

He has delivered successful recitals in many locations and he has been invited to various music festivals. He has worked side by side with remarkable Greek composers such as S. Giftakis, M. Aleksiadis, K. Grigoreas, T. Panagopoulos, K. Iliadis, G. Nousis, L. Kanaris and C. Tsiamoulis.

Koufoudakis has been coordinating and organizing Kalamata's Guitar Festival since 2012 and he has been the art director of it since 2015.

Antonis alongside N. Paleologos have been presenting original artwork and specifically compositions for the guitar and the oud. These two instruments have a repertoire on chamber music, which is composed of original works dedicated to them.

He has been teaching the guitar at Kalamata's Municipal Conservatory since 2008 and at Kalamata's Music School since 2020.
