Vojislav Ivanović
Vojislav Ivanović graduated guitar at the Conservatory in Athens in the class of prof. Costas Cotsiolis and graduated and received his masters degree at the Music Academy in Sarajevo with Vojin Komadina.
He took master classes with Alfonso Borghese, David Russel, Manuel Baruecco and many others. Both as a guitarist and a composer he was awarded various national and international prizes and distinctions. (Sarajevo 1975, Ljubljana 1977, Skopje 1979, Volos 1983, Prix d'Italia 1991). He appeared as a soloist in recitals, in various chamber ensembles and with orchestras in the countries of former Yugoslavia, Russia, Greece, Italy, England and Spain. His compositions are for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, orchestras, concertos for guitar, piano and film and theatre music. Some of his guitar compositions (6 Pieces de Cafe, Sonata, English Concerto, etc) are part of standard repertoire. His continuous interest, both as a composer and a performer, in traditional, improvised and jazz music includes performing and recording with some world renown musicians such as: Arild Andersen, Paolo Fresu, Bendik Hofseth, Paul Vertico, Savvina Iannatou, Vlatko Stefanovski and many others.
