Fernando de Lima was born in 1978 in São Bento Abade, Brazil, Fernando Lima was immersed in music from an early age. He began classical guitar studies at 12 and trained with notable teachers including Henrique Pinto. After earning a degree from FAAM in São Paulo, he distinguished himself in numerous national and international competitions, earning accolades from Brazil to Austria.

Fernando made his European debut at London’s Bolívar Hall, earning praise from Classical Guitar Magazine for his technical mastery and musical elegance. He performed at major festivals across Europe, including in Switzerland, Spain, and Austria. At 22, he joined the Quaternaglia Guitar Quartet, performing throughout Brazil and the U.S., and recording two CDs and a DVD.

Today, Fernando is best known for his work with Duo Siqueira Lima. His arrangements and interpretations have contributed to the duo’s reputation as one of the world’s leading classical guitar ensembles. In addition to performing, he is active as a music researcher and arranger, continually expanding the duo’s diverse repertoire.
