Considered by critics as a performer of "extraordinary musical means, exquisite sensitivity, culturally profound and technically irreproachable vision" (Scherzo Magazine), Antonio Duro has an extensive artistic and teaching career that has allowed him to firmly establish himself in the current musical and academic scene. He received his musical training at the Superior Conservatories of Cordoba and Seville and later went on to further studies with masters such as Leo Brouwer, Alberto Ponce, Manuel Barrueco and especially David Russell. He finished his studies with the Extraordinary Prize, obtaining later different awards in performance competitions in Spain, France and Germany.

Since then he has performed successfully in national and international venues and festivals in many countries throughout Europe, America, Africa and Asia, both as a soloist and in different chamber ensembles and collaborations with orchestras (National Orchestra of Ukraine, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain, Symphony Orchestra of Seville,...). Duro made recordings for RNE, Canal Sur TV or the labels Lindoro and Deutsche Grammophon, and has had numerous collaborations in scenic projects of Theater, Cinema, Dance or Flamenco complete an activity that he combines with his teaching work in the city of Seville, as Guitar Professor at the Conservatory of Music "Manuel Castillo".

SEVILLA GUITAR DUO

Celebrated for their refined artistry and compelling stage presence, the Sevilla Guitar Duo – formed by renowned guitarists Francisco Bernier and Antonio Duro –  stands among today’s most distinguished ensembles in the classical guitar world. Both musicians enjoy prominent international careers and serve as professors at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla. Since their debut as a duo in 2017, they have appeared at leading festivals and concert series throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, earning widespread acclaim for their expressive depth, technical excellence, and remarkable musical chemistry.

Specializing in Spanish repertoire from the 19th to the 21st centuries, the duo is deeply committed to presenting this rich musical heritage to audiences worldwide. Their artistic projects have frequently received the support of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AECID). Critics have praised their performances for their “exceptional palette of colours and delicate poetry” (Diario de Sevilla, 2017).
